The Show
Copla: A Spanish Cabaret is a celebration of Spain’s vibrant cultural and political history, brought to life with a queer twist. Practically unknown in England, Copla is the dramatic, heartfelt music that defined Spain’s early musicals and resonates deeply with anyone who loves laughing, crying, and singing along to divas and their melodramatic tales.

Once repressed under Franco’s dictatorship, Copla is now reborn with bold energy, blending humor, raw emotion, and irresistible tunes. This cabaret isn’t just a performance, it’s a journey through the joys and struggles of queer migrant life: living far from home, translating childhood musical memories, and reclaiming foreignness through music.
